Tangier
Where Africa meets Europe - bohemian port city of the Strait.
01
Tangier
Tangier has long been a crossroads of civilizations. Its medina blends Moorish, European, and African influences. The Kasbah Museum, the Caves of Hercules, and the Petit Socco all speak to its layered history as a haven for artists and writers.
Perched on a hill overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, Tangier occupies a unique position. The medina, recently restored, is a labyrinth of whitewashed alleys and blue-shuttered windows.
